Chatbot & Virtual Assistant Testing
Our all-inclusive language test for your chatbot or language assistant: Use our crowd to test and optimise the capabilities of your application under real conditions!
CHATBOT & VIRTUAL ASSISTANT TESTING – YOUR ADVANTAGES
Testing with the Testbirds Crowd offers a linguistic variety that cannot be guaranteed by developers or individual testers
Available testing in all living languages as well as local dialects (a Berliner speaks differently than a Bavarian)
Target group-specific selection of testers (e.g. age, profession, gender) and individual test setups with ambient sounds possible
Each test provides additional training data: weak points are discovered and the test data can be used directly to resolve the weak point
Applicable at many stages of development and suitable for successive development of language skills
Avoid organisational blindness, sharpen the target group relevance of your bots and save development costs at the same time
Take the quality of your applications to the next level!
The challenge: Human interaction is diverse
Companies need to ensure that their bots and assistants deliver information correctly and quickly, while behaving as naturally as possible. Due to the syntactic diversity of natural languages, both language training and verifying language ability, as well as the correct reproduction of information, pose a major challenge. In addition, the suitability of the application for everyday use is central – written input with spelling or grammar errors must lead to the same results as error-free input. Customers also expect to be understood by a language assistant when they speak with a dialect or a cold, or when background noise occurs, such as traffic sounds or children shouting.
The solution: Scale your number of testers with the Testbirds Crowd
Chatbot & Virtual Assistant Testing with Testbirds’ Crowd offers the advantage that the language capability of the application is tested under everyday conditions and with the right target group – in all languages and different dialects. The test not only reveals weaknesses in the language ability and information processing of Artificial Intelligence, but also directly delivers hundreds of training data sets that can be used to address weaknesses and close language gaps. The perfect everyday test where you can only win!

The global crowd tests a chatbot for cars
“Testing a chatbot implicates special requirements that could be met thanks to the use of crowdtesting. Of course, we appreciate the positive feedback from the testers, and their recommendations that are at least as important to us. They allow us to further optimize the app and finally offer our end users a product that has been designed and developed according to their needs.”

And this is how it can work in practice
For example, it starts with a project in the customer service area of an airline. The chatbot is supposed to offer customers an additional channel in which they can inform themselves about flight times, destinations, regulations regarding the weight of hand luggage, or the like.
In order to offer their customers the best possible result, chatbots must first of all adapt to the customer’s communication. Different language patterns, ways of questioning, spelling and grammar, but also colloquial terms are the biggest challenges. A practical example would be, for example, the question of hand luggage on board. Even in this simple case, there are many synonyms for the term “luggage”, different ways to formulate the query, as well as a risk of spelling and grammar errors.
To be able to cover this large variety, an extensive use of testers and test specifications is necessary. Independent testers, which can be selected for specific target groups, increase the efficiency of the training and the development speed of the bots enormously. In development, an iterative approach has proven to be particularly useful in order to ensure continuous improvement with regard to the learning ability of the bots. Thus, with every additional loop a “smarter” bot is available, which in turn can answer more inquiries correctly.
