Webinar | V-Model 2.0: A Holistic, Customer-Centric Approach to Software Testing

In our joint webinar with Magna, we’ll talk about insights and challenges in combining the V-Model with Crowdtesting.

Save the date and join on May 27 at 17:00 CEST

What’s the webinar about

You’ll get hands-on experiences in the process of testing integrated software in the automotive industry. Our hosts will share their knowledge around test cases, tools, automation, Crowdtesting, and how to best combine them.

Learn how the V-Model approach can be used for validation and functions, and which challenges arise when combining it with Crowdtesting. Our hosts will give you practical examples of test automation in the V-Model and run a panel discussion on the pros and cons of a separate, versus a combined, approach.

The examples will mostly be taken from the automotive industry as the complexity of software in cars increases, as well as the requirements and quality standards. Every new car has some type of software integrated – be it clearly visible and usable by the driver, or hidden under the hood.

What’s the V-Model?

The V-Model in software development is an extension of the waterfall model and shows which development stages are linked to different testing methods.

The V-Model is often criticized as outdated and not suitable for agile development. Nevertheless, it has developed over time and also supports flexibility during the development process. It’s not only helpful but essential when developing products with a high need for stability like in the automotive industry. That need for stability is also the reason why the medical device industry works with this model as well.

Our hosts

Bastian Raymann, Group Leader Software Solutions, Magna

Alexander Mosen, Business Development Manager, Magna

Georg Hansbauer, CTO & Founder, Testbirds

Max Kerscher-Cameron, Head of Sales, Testbirds
