Bits & Pretzels, Europe’s biggest founders festival, together with Testbirds, a Munich-based startup – what a perfect fit. That’s why our founder and CEO Philipp Benkler will be there – both as a visitor and as a speaker, and Testbirds will be a part of the Munich Startup Night.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year here in Munich. No, it’s not Christmas – Christmas is nothing in comparison. Obviously, I’m talking about Oktoberfest, where Bavarians and over six million tourists (what?!) come to drink beer, eat pretzels, and sing traditional songs at the Wiesn.
“Wouldn’t it be great to transfer this international open and friendly get-together of the Oktoberfest to a startup event as well?” That’s the question the three founders of Bits & Pretzels obviously must have asked themselves. And let me tell you – they meant it. What started as a small Weißwurstfrühstück (“White-sausage-breakfast”, welcome to Bavaria) for 100 attendees has developed into Europe’s biggest founders festival in just a few years.
The event is by founders, for founders, and takes place from September 29th til’ October 1st in Munich. 5,000 founders, investors and startup enthusiasts come together, talk about visions, learn from each other, and of course, they do a whole bunch of networking. There’s also an added bonus: as Bits & Pretzels happens to take place at the same time as the famous Oktoberfest, the last day of it will be spent at the Oktoberfest in the famous tent “Schottenhamel”.
Bits19’s Special Guest: Philipp Benkler, Founder and CEO of Testbirds
This will be a very special year for Bits & Pretzels and Testbirds. Wondering why? Well, because this year our famous founder Philipp Benkler will be returning as a speaker, talking about Testbirds and our Crowdtesting solutions. He’ll be there, with some of the other speakers being some guy called Barack Obama, as well as Jessica Alba (I think she’s a popstar or something, definitely not as famous as Philipp). 😉
Joking aside, we are very happy that Philipp gets the chance to speak at Bits & Pretzels again. Again? Yes, he was there last year as well, you can find out more about it in his blog post “My experience at Bits & Pretzels – the Founders Festival“.

Testbirds at the Munich Startup Night
As if bringing together 5,000 founders, investors, and startup enthusiasts wasn’t enough, there will be another event in the evening of September 30th – the Startup Night. All startups in the city are asked to open their doors and show themselves to the world. That’s something you definitely don’t have to tell us twice. So, we’re happy to invite you to Bug Hunting @ Testbirds.
We are happy to tell you everything about our daily lives at Testbirds and give you the chance to be a bug hunter. As a reward, we have beer and pretzels at the ready. And where could you possibly enjoy them more than in our office facing the beautiful Oktoberfest.
