Today, we’re happy to introduce Tatiana from Spain. She joined Testbirds last October and has already participated in several Crowdtesting tests in English, Spanish and German. We invited her to our blog to hear her story and to find out what advice she has for new testers. My name is Tatiana and I’m 23 years old. I’m living in Barcelona since I started to study Modern Languages in the Pompeu Fabra University in 2009. After finishing this degree I began a postgraduate degree in Script Writing. When I finished my studies in June 2014, I moved to Heidelberg, Germany in order to improve my German. I lived there for three months with my girlfriend Lina. After our experience in Germany, we came back to Barcelona and she decided to move to Gothenburg in order to master in Language Technology. It was then that she found Testbirds. She knew that I was searching for a job that was related to technology, so she sent me the Testbirds web page by email. I had already worked in project development for an app to learn languages and I thought that becoming a tester with Testbirds would just increase my level in the field of computer testing and technology, so I took the job.Since I came back from Heidelberg, I have been working as an intern in a newspaper in Barcelona called Núvol. It’s a part time job and what I like the most is that when I get home I can do other things like edit videos, take pictures, work on my web page which is under construction or, of course, do tests for Testbirds. I like being a tester because it gives me the opportunity to educate myself in fields I love: apps and webpages. Sometimes being a tester can be hard, but the satisfaction of the well-done work at the end of a test is priceless. So, my message to potential testers would be: Go for it because it’s worth it! To conclude, I would like to thank the whole Testbirds team for the support they have given me, because I began to test three months ago and now I feel like I’m a part of the team. Testbirds asked me what app or website I can’t live without: I could not do anything without my iTunes or Spotify. That’s the only thing I need to work well, music! Thanks, Tatiana, for sharing your Testbirds experience. We wish you good luck with everything. Keep up the good job and hope to see you soon in an upcoming test.
