My Role at Testbirds is a series of blog posts that gives insights into the daily life at the office. Every so often, one of our employees will introduce you to his or her line of work and share some helpful tips.This week features our team member Frida, who is part of our Project Management team for the Nordics region.I grew up in a tiny town in the middle of Sweden, famous for ice hockey, bread and very Swedish traditions. I spent most of my time in the stable with my horse, training track & field or doing crazy stuff with friends. 🙂 In the age of 19, I moved south to Linköping where I studied five years and finally got a Master in Industrial Engineering and Management. During my studies, I also had time to spend one semester in Karlsruhe. After graduating in 2015, I started at Testbirds.What you do at Testbirds: I’m part of the Project Management team and I’m mainly handling Swedish tests! The tasks as a project manager is to discuss/plan tests with customers, coordinate and communicate with the testers and analyze and sunmarize the test results.Current Computer: Macbook pro, retinaCurrent mobile device: Since a week ago I have an iPhone 6S, but I didn’t manage to make it work in Germany yet…One word that best describes how you work:CommittedA typical work day consists of: I typical start of the day would be… Walking into the office (happy to see my colleagues!). Start my computer while taking my jacket of. Quickly check the e-mails and then take my shoes off. Grab a coffee, and then anything can happen. 🙂 I might go through testers’ reports, submitted bugs, analyze and summarize test result or talk to a client about an upcoming test. I might also go through test reports, submitted bugs, write a final report or talk to customers to prepare upcomming tests.What apps/software/tools can’t you live without (and why)? WhatsApp! I guess I could live without it, but WhatsApp makes my life easier. And so do Skype! Skype makes family and friends feel close, no matter where one is located in the world. 🙂What’s your workspace setup like?I would call it an organized chaos. There are a lot of post-its, two different headphones, some documents, but it all has its own place.What’s your best time-saving keyboard shortcut?Copy – paste. I know it’s a bit lame, but I especially here I couldn’t live without it. That’s how I write the Swedish letter “å” on my German keyboard. 🙂Besides your phone and computer, what gadget can’t you live without (and why)?My headphones! And speakers. For the simple reason that listening to music is awesome!Name one everyday thing where you are better at than everyone else? What’s your secret?Since starting at Testbirds, my colleagues have pointed out that I’m a frequent user of the word “super”. If there is someone who beats me when it comes to “super” usage – I would like to meet this person.
