Awesome! This blog post is mobile-friendly.

Over the past few months Google has been updating its search algorithm. That in itself is nothing new, but this latest update has quite some impact. A month ago, April 21st, Google started rolling out a new version that promotes pages containing a decent mobile usability. This means that mobile-friendly pages are boosted with respect to the ranking of mobile search results, compared to static non-responsive web pages.

If your site’s pages aren’t mobile-friendly, there may be a significant decrease in mobile traffic from Google Search.

This is a very important development to be aware of, since more and more people use mobile devices to access the Internet and go about their daily online routines. With Google being an important gateway to the majority of websites, webshops and so on, this is something that certainly needs to be taken into account. Especially since Google stated that mobile-unfriendly pages may result in a significant decrease in mobile traffic from Google.Fortunately, Google also created a little tool to check if a specific web page is mobile-friendly and will pass the test. All you have to do, is enter the URL of the web page that you want to check. It takes less than a minute for the test tool to analyse the page, after which you’ll see a report if the page has a mobile-friendly design.Of course, we’ve also put our own homepage to the test and we were happy to get the green box in return, just like we expected:Testbirds passed Google's mobile-friendly testWant to try it out yourself? Then go to go to this website, fill in your URL and see if your web page is mobile-friendly. Need help getting feedback on how you can make your website mobile-friendly? We’re happy to help you out.
