FAQs

We have collected the most common questions of applicants and answered them for you. If you have a question that could not be answered here, please don’t hesitate to contact our recruiters Stefanie and Christine.
1. What changed due to Covid-19?
At the moment we’re working mainly from home to reduce contact. Of course, we still stay in contact with our colleagues and socialize through Microsoft Teams. For this purpose, we’ve created possibilities for social exchange, in addition to operational meetings, which simulate coffee machine chats or after-work drinks. Colleagues who come to the office protect themselves with masks, self-tests, wash/disinfect their hands, and rooms are regularly ventilated.

The application process remains the same, with the exception of personal interviews being carried out by video call.

If an on-site onboarding is not possible, we organize a digital onboarding. We know how challenging integration can be when you can’t meet your colleagues in person. That’s why, we attach special importance to promoting personal acquaintance and social exchange during a digital onboarding.

2. How can I apply for a position at Testbirds?
The best way to apply for the position you’re interested in, is by completing our application form. You can access the application form with the “Apply now” button in the job advertisement. To get in touch, you can reach out to our recruiters Christine and Stefanie at jobs@testbirds.com.
3. Are the job offers on the Testbirds website up-to-date?
Yes, all the published job offers are up-to-date. As soon as a position is filled, we remove it from the website.
4. I haven’t found a job offer that fits me at the moment. What can I do?
In this case, you can send your open application to jobs@testbirds.com and let us know how you would like to contribute to Testbirds.

While you wait for a matching position to open up, you can become a tester or follow us on our social media accounts. You can find more information here on how to register as a tester.

5. I have a problem using the application form. What can I do?
In this case, you can send your application via email to jobs@testbirds.com. If you didn’t receive a confirmation email after submitting your application through the online form, you can also send us an email. Please make sure to check your spam folder.
6. I submitted my application via the application form. Now I want to add some further documents. What can I do?
You can send these documents via email to jobs@testbirds.com. Please state that you have already applied via the application form.
7. Does Testbirds offer internships?
Yes! We heartily welcome interns and offer an exciting internship program. You can find our open intern positions here.

It doesn’t matter to us whether your internship is compulsory or voluntary. Every internship is remunerated. All interns work full-time and stay with us for at least 3-4 months. Unfortunately, we are therefore unable to offer internships to secondary school students.

It’s also possible to combine your internship with your bachelor or master thesis in cooperation with us. State this in your application and we can discuss further details in person.

In the past, we’ve sometimes continued the employment after the internship has concluded, either as a working student position or as a permanent position.

8. What application documents are required?

To ensure a quick and smooth application process we need you to submit the following documents in PDF-format via our application form:

  • A CV with language skills included as well as your contact information (incl. address, email and telephone number)
  • Your earliest possible starting date
  • Your salary wishes
  • We would also be pleased to receive a cover letter in which we can read why you’re applying for the selected position and why you would like to join Testbirds (but it’s not a must have)
  • Employment certificates (if possible)
  • Your current certificates of your studies or your diplomas
  • If you apply for an internship, we also need to know the planned duration of your internship and whether it is a voluntary or compulsory internship

If you would like to send us further documents, such as samples of your work, we would of course be happy to receive them.

9. In which language should I submit my application documents?
You can always send us your application documents in English. If you’re applying to a job advertisement that is written in German, you’re welcome to submit your documents in German.

11. What kinds of employment does Testbirds offer?
Testbirds offers mainly permanent positions and internships. However, sometimes we offer working student positions as well. We appreciate people with work experience as well as young professionals / graduates.
12. In which countries can I work at Testbirds?
Testbirds operates globally. At the moment we’re searching for employees for our offices in Munich and Amsterdam. It’s also possible to work remote for some positions.
13. How does the onboarding process look like?
Every employee that starts at our company is assigned to a buddy who shows you around the office on your first day, introduces you to the different departments and provides you with extensive information about the daily life at Testbirds. Shortly after your start, detailed introductions to all of our departments will take place.

The professional training takes place within your department. Your colleagues will take the time to impart specialist knowledge in individual onboarding sessions.

14. How are working hours and the place of work regulated at Testbirds?
Our core working hours, for which everyone should be available, are between 10am and 4pm. It’s up to you whether you prefer to be an early bird or a night owl.

We distinguish between “Office Birds” and “Mobile Birds”. If you decide to be an Office Bird, you will work at least 50% in the Testbirds office. If you’re a Mobile Bird you work at least 50% mobile, but you are of course still welcome in the office. We recommend that all Mobile Birds visit the office at least once a month for a personal exchange with their colleagues.

15. What are the general requirements for an employee at Testbirds?
We’re on a mission to help create flawless digital products and great user experiences. You should share this passion with us. We believe in teamwork and trust. Therefore, you should bring team spirit and appreciate an open feedback culture. To skyrocket the digital world together, we also need your proactivity, your ideas, and your courage to change. As a hard skill we require a very good command of English, as this is our company language.

16. What is it like working at Testbirds?
Even though we’re constantly growing and developing, we stick to flat hierarchies and work with the concept of self-leadership. This means that our employees quickly take responsibilities and actively shape their area of responsibility – whether they’re working in a permanent position or an internship position. 17. What does Testbirds offer?
