Usability and UX Testing at Testbirds – let’s check out the new highlights!

Usability is often seen as the key to success when it comes to convincing customers to use your apps and websites. Digital products and software can only prevail over their competition when users can easily find what they are looking for in an effective, efficient and satisfying manner. Therefore, it is important to take aspects like navigation, structure, design and text to image ratio into consideration by extensively testing them. And who could better tell about the strengths and weaknesses of digital products than the people who will be using them?

Thanks to our crowd we can offer clients a great method to improve the usability and UX of their software under real world conditions and in an innovative and flexible manner. Be it doctors with kids to students with iPhone 6 or seniors using tablets, all company’s target groups are represented in our community. And of course, our testers always give their best when providing helpful feedback for improving quality.

Usability & UX testing has been a pillar of our business since the beginning of Testbirds. However, a lot has changed since then. Nowadays, we offer our clients a greater variety of testing services than ever before. With the launch of Testing Reality, it was high time to better structure our different services and define them more concretely. Today, we want to present three of them to you in further detail. So let’s take a closer look into Pre-App Store Rating, Remote Usability Videos and Card Sorting.

1. Remote Usability Videos – The deepest insight into users’ thoughts
What exactly do end users think about your digital product and how do they behave while using it? With Remote Usability Videos, our clients receive a detailed insight into their user’s thoughts. Every step our testers take is recorded on video and they narrate what goes on in their heads throughout the testing process. There is no better way for companies to gain knowledge on the user experience of their software.

2. Card sorting – The crowd helps to define an easy and logical navigation system
Websites and apps need a clear structure and a logical content classification system for customers to enjoy using them. A Card Sorting test is quick to perform and provides valuable information about how users imagine applications’ structures. The crowd is shown virtual cards with all products or information that a website contains and testers are asked to sort them into categories as they see fit.

3. Pre-App Store Rating – Predict your apps’ future app store rating!
Once an app is on the market, it’s not long before the first ratings are released. In this competitive environment, high levels of functionality and usability are game changers. By performing a crowd based Pre-App Store Rating; companies can evaluate their target group’s opinions on their software just like they would in the app store without risking public exposure. This service is designed to be the final test before going live.
