My Role at Testbirds is a series of blog posts that gives insights into the daily life at the office. Every so often, one of our employees will introduce you to his or her line of work and share some helpful tips.This week features Marc-David Rompf from the Human Resources Department of Testbirds in Munich. As a HR manager, Marc is constantly looking for potential Testbirds. He is the contact person for all our applications and handles the HR processes.Origin/Background:I was born in Munich. I recently graduated from University of Erfurt with a M.Sc. in Psychology. I’ve always had an interest in the technology sector and the Human Resources management. I gained several years of experience working in consulting, human resources and project management. During my career I have worked for various types of organizations, large enterprises, start-ups and consulting companies.What you do at Testbirds:I am the Human Resources Manager at Testbirds. As the head of the human resources team at Testbirds my focus is on recruiting and human resources management to ensure the strategic development of Testbirds.Current Computer:I currently use the Lenovo ThinkPad.Current mobile device:I previously had a Samsung Galaxy S III but I changed to Galaxy S V.One phrase that best describes how you work:FocusedA typical work day consists of:A typical work day is never normally the same. Currently I’ve been focusing my attention on internal employee appraisals. Besides that I am always focusing on our recruiting to search for a lot of talents who would like to join the Testbirds team.What apps/software/tools can’t you live without?Google apps: because they really make everything easier.Dropbox: because I need access to a lot of documents all the time.What’s your work space setup like?Nice and clean 🙂 What’s your best time-saving shortcut?CTRL C -> CTRL VWhat everyday thing are you better at than everyone else? What’s your secret? Because of my positive attitude towards everything, I am not afraid of challenges.What do you like to do outside work?A lot of sports like athletics workout and running.
